Usually, yes. Back pain in the morning often means your mattress has gone soft and your hips are sinking, curving your spine all night. The Organic Topper is firm Dunlop latex, so it adds a solid, level layer that pushes back instead of letting you sink. Your spine stays straighter, and the pressure comes off your lower back. Unlike memory foam, latex gives the same support at 3am as it does when you first lie down.

Honestly, it depends how far gone the mattress is. If your bed has softened with age but still holds its basic shape, a firm latex topper genuinely transforms it. GOLS stands for Global Organic Latex Standard. It certifies that the latex is organically grown and processed, from the rubber plantation through to the finished foam. On Pure, the GOLS certificate covers the latex core, and the whole cover, base included, is separately GOTS certified organic cotton. We name the certification on the exact part it covers, because a vague "organic" label with nothing behind it is exactly the kind of thing we started this brand to avoid.

As close as we can make it today, and that's why Pure exists. The latex core is GOLS certified organic and the cover is GOTS certified organic cotton all the way round. There's no polyester grip base, which is the one part of our Everyday version that isn't organic.

Because our UK finishing stage isn't certified, we don't describe the finished topper as certified organic. Certificates for the latex and cotton are available on request.

It can move a little, because there's no grip layer underneath. Most of the time your fitted sheet is all it needs: pull a deep fitted sheet over the topper and mattress together and it holds both snugly. If you toss and turn a lot, or your mattress has a slippery cover, our Everyday version has an anti-slip base that keeps it planted.

Very little to do. The GOTS organic cotton cover unzips fully and machine-washes. The latex core itself doesn't need flipping or rotating, though an occasional rotation spreads wear evenly. Keep the core out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, as natural latex doesn't like prolonged heat or UV. That's it.

No, and this is where latex wins outright. Memory foam is dense and petroleum-based, and it traps your body heat. That's the overheating that has you flipping to the cool side at 3am. Natural latex has an open-pinhole structure that lets air move through it all night, so it stays close to room temperature. Cooler isn't a feature we added. It's just how the material works.
