GOLS stands for Global Organic Latex Standard. It certifies that the latex is organically grown and processed, from the rubber plantation through to the finished foam. On this topper, the GOLS certificate covers the latex core, and the cover is separately GOTS certified organic cotton. The anti-slip base is polyester and isn't covered by either certificate. We name the certification on the exact part it covers, because a vague "organic" label with nothing behind it is exactly the kind of thing we started this brand to avoid.

Not quite, and we'd rather say so up front. The latex core is GOLS certified organic and the cotton top and sides of the cover are GOTS certified organic. The base of the cover is an anti-slip polyester, about 2 to 4% of the topper's weight depending on depth. We added it because natural toppers tend to slide around the bed, and a topper that slides is a bad topper. We're working on a natural fibre that grips as well, and we'll switch when we find one.

Because our UK finishing stage isn't certified, we don't describe the finished topper as certified organic either. Certificates for the latex and cotton are available on request.

Very little to do. The GOTS organic cotton cover unzips fully and machine-washes. The latex core itself doesn't need flipping or rotating, though an occasional rotation spreads wear evenly. Keep the core out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, as natural latex doesn't like prolonged heat or UV. That's it.
